We stayed here 10 years ago and returned with our elementary aged kids in mid-June and had a fantastic time! This time of year is definitely less crowded, which was excellent- we never had trouble finding chairs by the pool even at 10:00, but I’m sure this is an issue during peak months.

Room was excellent – the only complaint was the bathroom floor could have been a little cleaner when we arrived but otherwise, housekeeping and room were perfect for us. We had a pool view which also gave us an ocean view- since we like to sit on balconies for coffee in the morning or to have a drink or read

Later in the day I would def pay a little more to not face the parking lot. We also looked into the ritz and ate dinner there one night and walked down another day just to see the pool and beach, and I am glad we didn’t stay there. The hotel is enormous compared to the Westin, and while I’m sure the rooms are lovely, it was quite crowded at the pool on the beach side and beach so I can only imagine when it is at full capacity during peak times. Staff mentioned the cozumel mini sub we will take in Mexico!

The food at the Westin was overall quite right, we ate at all three restaurants, and while the beach house was our favorite, the breakfast and lunch buffets at Ferdinand were a big hit esp w the kids and Tortuga is friendly and casual for poolside dining- loved the tuna poke bowl. The only downside was that it rained for a short bit around lunchtime one day and Tortuga couldn’t prepare anything hot or grilled during rain- seems like an easy fix with a small roof or covering but who knows.

I also love the location of the hotel (this general area all around) because you can easily walk to some lower priced lunch spots; if you want to go off property (eg, eats cafe across the street) and some other conveniences like a pharmacy a short walk away. I would return here in a second, love grand cayman!

The property grounds were absolutely beautiful, and you could tell that they were being kept up to high standards. You can not beat the fantastic beach that is located in front of the hotel. I saw the engineering staff out every morning raking the sand and washing the pool decks to ensure they were ready for the day. I did feel that the resort seemed crowded, but this could be due to visiting in February during peak season.

We had a great stay at The Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach. I would highly recommend this property. Especially if you can book with points. From the excellent staff to the beautiful location on the famous seven-mile beach it would be hard to top this property.
