We stayed in unit 8 and loved it. It is literally 10 steps to the sand. This is one of the smallest units, so 2 people will do fine. I had initially been booked unit 12 on the second floor, but after arriving and seeing the layout, I asked for a ground floor unit.
Allison in the office was so accommodating to find an alternative and recommendations for the el cielo beach cozumel trip we will take in Mexico. I was able to move that afternoon, and housekeeping did a fantastic job turning the unit over for me to be able to do this. I found the ease of access to the beach much better from the ground floor units. Being on end there is a panoramic view of the ocean from anywhere in the living area.
The kitchen was sufficient, good water pressure, plenty of hot water, the AC worked well, the furnishings were clean and up to date. If I had to change anything, it would be the volleyball net. It blocks such a beautiful view of the sunset. I am sure it is a great addition when large groups are here, but the location is a bit odd. The property is small, so this may be the only space they have, and you can certainly walk around it to get pictures sans net…The tall, slender gentleman that takes care of the beach early in the mornings does a beautiful job.
The sand is freshly manicured every day. There were plenty of beach chairs in the sun or in the shade our entire stay. I would certainly return to the London House. The ladies in the office are always warm and welcoming. They can answer any of your questions and try to accommodate your wishes. If you are looking for a small condo on a quiet stretch of beach, this is it.
We ate there three out our five nights. Couldn’t get closer to the water if you tried, and the food was reasonable and tasty. I can’t wait to return to the London House. However, if you are looking to be served cocktails and lunch poolside (pool was not heated, but who needs that when you have 80 degrees ocean) this is not the place for you.
I did miss having a restaurant on site, but just got breakfast and lunch stuff at the supermarket and ate dinner out every night. Wherever you choose to stay, heed this warning: Seven-mile beach is where you want to be! I almost booked at Bodden Town and Morritts, and Rum Point and they are seaweed infested (as evidenced as we drove around).
London House is excellent and not crowded and relaxed and quiet, and the beach is pristine. Wish I were there right now!
