What a fabulous find this hotel was. Close to everything, organic grocer across the road and leading supermarket on the corner. Rooftop pool was better than the pictures showed! And despite the hotel being full, I had the roof and lake to myself multiple occasions for hours at a time.

Only a few blocks to tourist strip, a great cafe across the road and El Fogon around the corner for possibly the best pork taco. Staff are a real credit to the hotel – Daniel and Andre were fantastic, spoke excellent English, friendly, and welcoming. Romeo was also pleasant and very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend and would return.

This is the third time I have stayed at this hotel. For the price and location, it’s unbeatable. I was happy to see a few of the same employees that have been there for years – they always suggest activities like the sea trek cozumel tours. The area is now more developed, allowing for a more leisurely walk to 5th avenue. Mega grocery store across the street, juices on the corner, and La Ceiba market directly across the road. I will never stay anywhere else.

I stayed here with a friend for three nights. The location is excellent – Just 10 min. Walk from Quinta Avenida, which is the “main street” where everything happens. We liked that it didn’t smack in the middle due to noise. It is close to several excellent and cheap restaurants – such as Navito where they have amazing juices! It is also for 2 min. Walk from the supermarket Mega, where you can get everything and where it is safe to withdraw money from the ATMs.

Stayed at this hotel with my boyfriend for eight nights. Great area. Far away from a crazy amount of other tourists but close enough walking distance to 5th ave and great beaches.

The hotel was cheap, clean; the bathroom was small but perfectly fine. I don’t see why everyone is complaining about it. The bed is on the hard side, but it was not uncomfortable; we both slept great every night. Everyone who worked at the front desk was friendly and helpful. I would stay again!

Cons are mostly out of the hotel’s control. Neighborhood barking dogs late at night and an always whistling neighbor, which was charming at first but ultimately annoying after a few days. Bathroom tile is overall lovely, but some attention to the grout is due.
